I reviewed their original D5 a few months back, and it was one of my favorite chargers of the year. Now they’ve brought it back with an awesome accent and character. Yes Kuxiu D5 Advertised as a 5-in-1 charger because it charges three devices but also has a built-in cooling fan and diagnostic display. You get:

While it is not as dense as something like theirs X40 TurboThere is also some thought put into carrying and traveling with this charger. The Qi2.2 charger can be folded into a small box that you can take anywhere you want, and the Apple Watch charger can also be attached to the charger. For me, it worked best as a permanent desktop charger, but it’s nice to know it’s portable.
My experience
As I mentioned, I’ve been using the original black for a few months as my main charger. It is reliable, useful, and easy to use. So when Kuxiu announced their Burgundy version, I knew I had to check it out, especially since I’m looking for accessories that match the Burgundy color for my new iPhone 18 Pro.
Since I already know this charger is good, I wanted to see a color match closely with the iPhone 18 Pro, and I was impressed that it was too. The aluminum parts of the D5 match the burgundy on the iPhone 18 Pro, and they add other burgundy accents throughout the different materials of the charger.
Aside from aesthetics, my favorite part is the built-in cooling fan because it adds tangible value to the setup. I’m someone who’s always installing new iOS betas, testing new features, and putting my phone through its warm-up situations. So, having an active cooling system built directly into the charger has been a game changer in effectively cooling my phone and helping it last longer on a 25W charge, because it doesn’t get warm. The fan is still dead silent, but if you want to turn it off, you can do so with a single tap. Then, of course, you have the diagnostic display that shows you all the charging statistics you need to see from the entire working charger.

That’s why Kuxiu is one of the brands I recommend the most; It is the performance to price ratio that sets them apart. So if you just got a new Burgundy iPhone or you’re in the market for a new 3-in-1 charger, I highly recommend checking this one out. My only wish is that the next generation has a USB-C port so you can charge a 4th device like a smart ring or something. Otherwise, this thing is great.
