reMarkable has introduced a new premium leather sleeve for its Paper Pure E Ink tablet, offering users a more luxurious alternative to the protective cases already available for the device.
The new accessory is made of genuine leather and comes in a single color Forest Brown. Priced at £119/$129, it’s almost twice as expensive as the existing polycarbonate sleeve, which costs £59/$69.
The leather version joins three existing polycarbonate and microfiber sleeve options available in Mist Green, Desert Pink and Ocean Blue. It’s a more expensive alternative, but it may appeal to users who want something a little more premium for their everyday note-taking.
The accessory comes just a few months after reMarkable introduced the Paper Pure as a successor to the discontinued reMarkable 2. The E Ink tablet has come with several accessories available individually or as part of a bundle, and this latest addition expands those options even further.
For first-time tablet buyers, ReMarkable is also offering a new £479/$549 bundle that includes the Paper Pure, leather sleeve film and Marker Plus stylus.
That’s £40/$50 more than the current £439/$499 bundle, which pairs the tablet and Marker Plus with the standard polycarbonate case. Meanwhile, the cheapest bundle remains the £359/$399 option, which includes Paper Pure and the standard Marker pen.
The new leather sleeve does not introduce any additional functions beyond the existing protection options, but it gives the Paper Pure a more sophisticated look. Whether this is worth the extra cost will largely depend on how much users value the leather finish over a standard case.
