Most trading of tokenized stocks on major blockchains now takes place outside of regular US market hours, an early indication that trading around may be one of the biggest benefits of keeping equity onchain.
According to Blockworks data cited by The Kobeisi Letter, more than 70% of tokenized stock trading volume on the BNB chain occurs outside of the traditional 9:30am to 4pm Eastern trading session. The figure is 63% in Solana and about 60% in Base.
Meanwhile, Jupiter, a major Solana-based trading platform, saw a 50% month-over-month increase in tokenized asset trading volume.

Statistics suggest that investors use tokenized stocks to trade when traditional US exchanges are closed, rather than simply replicating activity during regular market hours.
According to RWA.xyz, the increase comes as the value of the tokenized stock has increased by 15% over the past 30 days to around $3.3 billion. Information. A significant portion of that value is concentrated among issuers such as Ondo Global Markets, xStocks and bStocks, whose tokens are issued and traded on various blockchains.

Wall Street is moving toward on-chain stock trading
Round-the-clock trading grows as US regulators open the door to tokenized equities in traditional markets. Last month, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) introduced an “innovation exemption” that allows qualifying venues to trade tokenized US-listed stocks on public blockchains.
SEC Commissioner Mark Ueda said participating venues must disclose transaction data in US dollars, including trade price, size, timestamp and daily trading volume. They must disclose the address and balance of the liquidity pool.
Unlike existing tokenized stock products such as xStocks and Ondo Global Market, which are generally unavailable to US investors, the SEC exemption allows qualified venues to offer tokenized US equities domestically, provided they preserve shareholder rights and meet trading and disclosure requirements.
