European retailer Mediamarkt pulls Ledger products as wallet maker investigates reported tampering outside of CryptoBills in Southeast Asia.
MediaMarktSaturn, parent company of European electronics retailer MediaMarkt, has removed ledger products from its stores and online platforms amid reports of hardware wallets being tampered with.
“The MediaMarktSaturn retail group has removed all of the manufacturer’s products from its stores and online platform and is contacting the manufacturer,” a spokesperson told Cointelegraph in an email on Tuesday. “We are taking this incident very seriously.”
An X user known as Johannes claimed On Monday that he bought two ledger wallets from different MediaMarket stores. He said both contained unauthorized cable and cellular modules.
