‘Tenzing’ is now streaming on Apple TV
A few days ago, Apple Original Films held the premiere of “Tenzing,” its latest adventure film starring Genden Phuntsok, Tom Hiddleston (Chuck’s life), and Willem Dafoe (At the door of Eternity).
interesting,”Tenzing” is the release of the second mountain climbing set against what is a stone that will start in the last few days, after the premiere on October 2 of the documentary “.Last Home: Winter K2.”
and even “Tenzing” is not a documentary, it is based on a true story, here is how Apple TV describes the movie:
Based on true events, “Tenzing” tells the not-so-famous story of Tenzing Norgay (Genden Phuntsok), a talented Himalayan climber, along with New Zealander Edmund Hillary (Tom Hiddleston), the first to reach Mount Everest. Encouraged by his wife Dawa (Thinley Lhamo), Tenzing finds an ally in expatriate secretary Jill Henderson (Caitríona Balfe). Together, they convince Colonel John Hunt (Willem Dafoe) that Tenzing belongs to Britain’s mountain climbing team, rather than just serving it. Where Western climbers see “Everest” as something to conquer, Tenzing regards “Chomolungma” as a sacred mother goddess. What follows is an ascent defined by the tension between base, class and competing ambitions as well as the dangers of the mountain. But high above the world, kingdoms, ranks and aspirations fall, the two outsiders are bound by mutual respect and trust – and for Tenzing, the fulfillment of both a lifelong dream and a spiritual calling.
October was a busy month for Apple TV, with premieres including “Last Home: Winter K2“British Comedy”A small prophet,” and the John Cena-directed action film “Matchbox The Movie.”
In the coming weeks, Apple TV will also launch the second season of “Where is Wanda?“And the thriller series”Night,” along with “heart,” is a true crime podcast that focuses on horror stories.
